My Internet pages use so-called cookies. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer by your browser. They serve to make my website more user-friendly, more effective and more secure. Cookies also allow my systems to recognize your browser and offer you services. Cookies do not contain any personal data.
Use of Google AdWords conversion tracking
I use the online advertising program “Google AdWords” conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is an analytic service of Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA; “Google”).
When you click on a Google ad, a conversion tracking cookie is stored on your computer. These cookies have a limited validity, do not contain any personal data and therefore do not serve for personal identification. If you visit certain advertisements from my website and the cookie has not yet expired, Google and I can see that you have clicked on the advertisement and have been redirected to it.
Each Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Thus, there is no possibility that cookies can be tracked through the websites of AdWords customers.
The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to create conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. This lets AdWords customers know the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page that was tagged with a conversion tracking tag. However, no personal information will be gathered that could identify users.
If you do not want to participate in tracking, you can opt out by setting your browser software to prevent the installation of the cookies (deactivation option). You will not be included in the conversion tracking statistics.
